Michelle Inderbitzin primarily research jail tradition, juvenile justice, and transformative schooling. She is co-editor of the e-book The Voluntary Sector in Prisons: Encouraging Private and Institutional Change, and she gained the American Society of Criminology Instructing Award in 2017. Dr. Inderbitzin earned her PhD in sociology from the College of Washington and has been a college member at Oregon State College since 2001. Alongside together with her on-campus courses on crime and deviance, she repeatedly teaches courses and volunteers in Oregon’s maximum-security jail for males and state youth correctional amenities.
Kristin A. Bates is a professor of criminology and justice research within the Division of Sociology at California State College San Marcos. Her analysis focuses on racial, ethnic, and gender inequality in prison justice insurance policies. She is presently concerned in a research analyzing the neighborhood impression of civil gang injunctions. She is co-editor of the e-book By means of the Eye of Katrina: Social Justice in the USA, in addition to co-author of Juvenile Delinquency in a Numerous Society, each of their second editions. Dr. Bates earned her PhD in sociology from the College of Washington in 1998.
Randy R. Gainey is a professor within the Division of Sociology and Prison Justice at Previous Dominion College. His analysis focuses on sentencing selections, alternate options to incarceration, and neighborhood traits and crime. He’s co-author of two different books: Household Violence and Prison Justice: A Life-Course Method, now in its third version, and Medication and Policing. His articles have lately appeared in Criminology, Justice Quarterly, Theoretical Criminology, The Jail Journal, The Journal of Prison Justice, and The Journal of Crime and Justice. Dr. Gainey earned his PhD in sociology in 1995 on the College of Washington.
