Dennis Blessing is a graduate of Sam Houston State College (BS 1973), Wichita State College (MHS 1985), and Kansas State College (PhD 1989). He has been a doctor assistant educator since 1983, holding school appointments at Wichita State College, The College of Texas Medical Department at Galveston, and The College of Texas Health Science Heart at San Antonio. He not too long ago retired as a distinguished educating Professor of Doctor Assistant Research and Affiliate Dean, Faculty of Health Professions, at UT Health Science Heart San Antonio. Dr. Blessing’s honors and recognitions embody; educating awards, school excellence awards, leaderships awards, honor society appointments, service awards, and appointment to a college fellowship within the Skilled Capability Constructing Program of the Hispanic Affiliation of Schools and Universities and the Division of Health and Human Companies. Dr. Blessing has acquired the Excellent Research Award (first recipient) from the Affiliation of Doctor Assistant Applications, Gold Award for the Finest Common Column/Contributed from the American Society for Health Care Publishers and Editors, the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Duke College Doctor Assistant Program, Excellent Service Award from the Affiliation of Doctor Assistant Applications, and an Military Commendation Medal.
