Cathy J. Scott is Professor of Accounting and Accounting Division Chair at Navarro College. She has obtained the 2014 Texas Society of CPAs Excellent Accounting Educator Award, the 2012-2013 American Accounting Affiliation Educator of the Yr, and the Two-Yr College and the 2010 Navarro College’s Instructing of Excellence Award. Dr. Scott earned her bachelor’s diploma from Nazareth College, MBA from Amberton College, a post-graduate accounting diploma from Keller Graduate College of Administration, and her PhD from Capella College. Previous to becoming a member of lecturers, Dr. Scott had a 25-year accounting profession within the automotive trade. She stays a well-liked speaker in accounting and monetary administration for car producers and seller associations. She has written quite a few accounting-related articles for automotive publications. Dr. Scott is a member of the Institute of Administration Accountants, Lecturers of Accounting at Two-Yr Faculties (TACTYC), the American Accounting Affiliation (AAA), Nationwide Enterprise Educators Affiliation (NBEA) and Texas Neighborhood College Affiliation (TCCTA).
