   About the Author

   Robin Hornik Parritz, Ph.D., is professor emeritus of psychology at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Brandeis University and her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Minnesota. Over the course of her academic career, Dr. Parritz taught subjects such as disorders of childhood, abnormal psychology, theories of psychotherapy, psychology of emotion, and clinical psychology. She served as the chair of psychology and administrative head for the departments of biology, neuroscience, psychology, and public health and helped to develop the forensic psychology major and the online degree completion program for psychology.
