3. Uwe Flick is Senior Professor of Qualitative Research in Social Science and Schooling on the Freie Universität Berlin, Germany. He’s a educated psychologist and sociologist and acquired his PhD from the Freie Universität Berlin in 1988 and his Habilitation from the Technical College Berlin in 1994. He has been Professor of Qualitative Research at Alice Salomon College of Utilized Sciences in Berlin, Germany and on the College of Vienna, Austria. Beforehand, he was Adjunct Professor on the Memorial College of Newfoundland in St. John’s, Canada; a Lecturer in analysis methodology on the Free College of Berlin; a Reader and Assistant Professor in qualitative strategies and analysis on the Technical College of Berlin; and Affiliate Professor and Head of the Division of Medical Sociology on the Hannover Medical College. He has held visiting appointments on the London College of Economics, the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris, Cambridge College (UK), Memorial College of St John’s (Canada), College of Lisbon (Portugal), Institute of Larger Research in Vienna, in Italy and Sweden, and the College of Psychology at Massey College, Auckland (New Zealand). His foremost analysis pursuits are qualitative strategies, social representations within the fields of particular person and public well being, vulnerability in fields like youth homelessness or (compelled) migration. He’s the editor of The SAGE Handbook of Qualitative Knowledge Evaluation (Sage, 2014), The SAGE Qualitative Research Package (Sage, 2nd edn, 2018), A Companion to Qualitative Research (Sage, 2004), Psychology of the Social (Cambridge College Press, 1998).
