Dr. Robin LaBarbera is a professor in the School of Education at Biola University, where she is the director of the special education credential program, which she helped found. She has published numerous articles in the field of special education, she co-authored a curriculum for students’ English language development, and she has presented at conferences and teacher development workshops around the world, in countries such as Papua New Guinea, Uganda, South Africa, Vietnam, Lebanon, and India.

Dr. LaBarbera serves on several Boards of Directors for school programs for students with learning differences, for charter schools, and for a foundation that helps strengthen urban ministry organizations. Her proudest role is that of an advocate for individuals with learning differences and their families. She feels fortunate to have met these families and the professionals in the schools worldwide who strive to meet the unique needs of their students.
